African feast
Posted on May 15, 2008 by kigalaunegg

We had an african project which lasted 2 month. The african people performanced dances and songs with the rhythm of the drums, cook typical food, made african masks for the feast and T-shirts with african symbols and told us something about their culture. We showed traditional dances and sang styrian songs dressed in “Lederhose” und “Dirndl”. It was a great feast!
The aim was to show and feel respect for every person in the whole world.

I’ve just started reading up on African history and the use of masks for a new site I’ve been making and the tie ins with culture are really interesting. Nice post!
